Chowchilla Youth Basketball

First and second graders learn the basic skills from November- December, then attempt to refine, and use their skills in a game setting. Coaches are on the court with the players, where they can assist in game-play. Hoops are set to 7ft. and a junior/youth size ball is used. No scores or standings are kept.

Third and fourth graders refine and learn new skills  from November- December. In January  they start games on a full court with an 8 ft. hoop and use a youth size ball. Scores are recorded, but no standings are kept. No Playoff/Championship

Fifth and Sixth graders refine  and aquire new skills from November to December. In Janurary they play standard games and keep standings for playoffs/ championship games. Standard hoop heights and intermediate/womens size balls are used.

Seventh and Eigth grade teams  refine skills learned in prior years and aquire new skills from November to December. Games start in January. Scores and standings are kept for playoff/standings. Standard hoop height and offcial ball sizes are used.
